Antiarmor Live Fire and Tracking Range

Antiarmor Live Fire & Tracking Range (AALFTR), Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii

The Antiarmor Live Fire and Tracking Range (Pohakuloa Training Area) is to support antiarmor weapons qualification and training to allow individual and collective gunnery table qualification based on existing and future Field Manual requirements. The project is designed to support the Stryker Brigade Combat Team and the Legacy Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Light). It is programmed to be constructed on the reconfigured sites of existing ranges at PTA. The primary features of the range include: tank trail (1900 meters), service trails, stationary infantry targets, and moving armor targets. The range operations and support facilities included 14 buildings. The construction cost estimate for this range was about $38 million. Civil/site work, electrical power, fiber optic data cable, and support facilities represented the most significant cost elements. HSW was tasked with developing a DD3086 (15% design) Parametric Cost Estimate.
