Mid-Level Ecologist/Ecohydrologist (Tampa) 
 Responsibilities include supporting HSW's considerable experience with Minimum Flows and Levels (MFLs) assessments and ecological compliance and land management monitoring; managing projects commensurate with experience involving applied ecology and ecohydrology of freshwater and estuarine systems; preparing monitoring/study plans for evaluations instream and wetlands systems; collecting environmental data and media sampling to characterize wetland habitat, soil, surface water, and groundwater; and analyzing and interpreting environmental data and preparing scientific reports.  Qualifications:  MS or PhD and 5-10 yrs relevant project experience.

Environmental Scientist (Tampa)  HSW is seeking a mid-level scientist with a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.  5-10 years of experience as an environmental laboratory analyst and / or data validator required.  Excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, growing company with varied and interesting projects.  Competitive salary with great benefits. 

Project/Senior Scientist / Engineer (Tampa)  HSW is seeking an experienced hydrologist or similarly qualified water resources engineer knowledgeable of how hydrological processes influence freshwater and estuarine ecosystems.  This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join a small dynamic engineering firm with intellectually challenging projects working with private Fortune 500 companies and government agencies including the Water Management Districts, FDEP, the Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, NASA, DNR, regional water supply authorities, municipalities.  Preferred qualifications:  BS or Ph.D. in Hydrology, Civil Engineering or related field; 8-12 years relevant project experience; PE licensed in the State of FL (or able to obtain); progressive management of projects commensurate with relevant experience involving applied hydrology; fundamental understanding of surface water and groundwater hydrology, climatology, and methods of analysis; knowledge and experience related to freshwater ecology and marine biology a plus; experience compiling hydrological, climatological, and water-quality data and expertise using statistical and other data management software to perform exploratory data analysis, ANOVA and regression analysis is essential; experience and expertise with applicable modeling tools such as the HEC suite, EFDC, Modflow, ADICPR, and similar ; experience performing hydrological, ecological and / or GIS modeling a plus; experience preparing text, tables and figures for interpretive scientific reports is essential; strong technical and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Environmental Scientist or Engineer (part-time, Tampa and Tallahassee) GIS and Database Applications  HSW is seeking an energetic junior, senior or graduate student with a focus in GIS and database applications in environmental sciences or engineering to assist our Water Resources team.  HSW is looking for candidates that have attention to detail and good writing skills; who are adept in Excel (tables, pivot tables, graphics, and statistics) and other statistical packages, Microsoft Word and Access, large database management, and GIS (ArcGIS/ArcMap and 3D and Spatial Anaylst).  Knowledge of basic statistics and regression analysis and exposure to ecohydrology, groundwater and surface water modeling a plus.

Engineer/Geologist/Hydrologist Intern (part-time, Tampa)  HSW is seeking an intern with an excellent academic background and strong quantitative skills.  The successful candidate will report to project managers and will be expected to follow HSW's quality and risk management policies.  This position can lead to significant growth and career advancement opportunity upon graduation.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Working with ESRI ArcGIS products and AutoCAD; Hydrologic modeling (e.g., ICPR, SWIM, HEC, ModFlow); Collecting environmental data and media sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air) samples; Data analysis, interpretation and reporting; and Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of proper field procedures.  Qualifications:  Currently pursuing either a BS or MS in engineering, geology, hydrology, or environmental science; Excellent verbal and technical writing skills and scientific / engineering problem solving abilities; and minimum travel. 

Project Scientist / Engineer We seek an experienced hydrologist or similarly qualified environmental scientist or water resources engineer knowledgeable of aquatic and wetland communities and how hydrological processes influence freshwater and estuarine ecosystems. Minimum of a master's of science and 5-8 years of experience performing water resource investigations. Fundamental understanding of surface water and groundwater hydrology and methods of analysis is a must; knowledge and experience related to freshwater ecology and marine biology a plus. Experience compiling hydrological and water-quality data and using statistical and other data management software to perform exploratory data analysis, ANOVA and regression analysis is essential. Experience performing hydrological, ecological and / or GIS modeling a plus. Must demonstrate experience, in whole or part, preparing text, tables and figures for interpretive scientific reports. Must also be willing to work on multi-disciplinary teams and be capable of managing and executing project tasks with limited oversight.
