Andra J. Kidd Named COO of National-Reaching Environmental, Energy, Water and Civil Infrastructure Platform
Andra J. Kidd (Ms. Kidd) has joined the national-reaching environmental, energy, water and civil infrastructure platform Round Table Capital (RTC) Partners launched in July of 2020. Ms. Kidd will serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). The platform currently includes Ohio-based Hull & Associates, LLC, Delaware-based Duffield Associates, LLC and Florida-based HSW Consulting, LLC.
As COO, Ms. Kidd will be responsible for advancing day to day operations, integrating existing and new acquisitions and enhancing the platform’s financial performance. … -

Stormwater Management System Considerations for Risk Based Corrective Action Sites
HSW’s Steven Folsom presented at the 33rd Annual Environmental Permitting Summer School on Stormwater Management System Considerations for Risk Based Corrective Action Sites related to the FDEP’s recently released guidance regarding Considerations for Stormwater Features within Contaminated Sites. His presentation focused on maintaining a practical balance between conditional closures and future development of cleanup properties as well as neighboring properties.

PFAS Updates
Ziqi He, PhD, PE and Derek Huston, PE provided an update to our April 2017 article published in the FES Journal addressing a group of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs), per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), specifically Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) and Perfluorooctyl Sulfonate (PFOS). This article provides an update on the scientific and regulatory actions taken over the last two years, focusing on site characterization and treatment.

On February 14, 2019, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released its Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Action Plan. This historic PFAS Action Plan identifies immediate, short-term and long-term actions that EPA has pledged to take in response to extensive public interest and input that the agency has received over this group of contaminants.
