Our Culture

HSW takes pride in creating a fun and dynamic environment where employees have the ability to utilize their talents and engage with their colleagues in and out of the office. Our team loves to dedicate time toward tackling the problems of today and generating solutions for the issues of tomorrow with integrity and efficiency.

At the end of the day, you won’t find us chained to our desks. We have a diverse workforce with varying interests. We are always eager to encourage one another to try something new. At any time, you may find us training for an upcoming 5k, triathlon or marathon, playing tennis, volleyball or discussing our recent TV series/movie binge. Sometimes we can be caught on the back nine or in remote areas shooting clays. Our competitive nature keep us quite involved!

Nothing brings us more joy than giving back. Throughout the year we host food, clothing, and toy drives to help those in need. Once a month we bring pizza to the kids at Hope Children’s Home for a night of fun and basketball. We also engage with children in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs at various events to foster future engineers and scientists.

Charitable work is engrained in our culture. We know the importance of actively participating in our communities and helping those who need it the most. Throughout the year we love getting involved in various charities and enjoy donating our time and resources to organizations such as the YMCA, Hope Children’s Home and the American Red Cross.

We aren’t short of good times at HSW! Our annual Crawfish Boil has become a can’t miss event for employees and their families. We’ve created a family friendly culture at HSW and find as many opportunities as possible to bring everyone together. A team mentality is vital to a successful business and we know the importance of good morale. Many of our employees have been with us for 10-20+ years!

Professional Development

HSW is committed to the continued growth and development of its employees. HSW employees are involved in leading engineering societies including ASCE, SAME, FES, and FAWQA. Many employees have received recognition from these organizations for their service in the industry. Throughout the year we discuss emerging technologies, groundbreaking solutions, and best safety practices at bi-weekly technical presentations. We also team up with organizations such as ASTM and ITRC to help set the rules and create guidelines that protect our natural resources.
