To comply with the requirements of Water Use Permits, HSW prepared 1989, 1990, and 1991 annual reports for Cypress Creek and Cross Bar Ranch wellfields, and 1994 through 1999 annual reports of the Northwest Hillsborough, Section 21, and Cosme-Odessa wellfields. In 1999, the assessment program in the Northwest region of Hillsborough County was expanded to include the Eldridge Wilde and the South Pasco wellfield regions as a result of Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Consolidated Water Use Permit for Tampa Bay Water’s Central System. HSW has prepared the hydrologic data submittals for this 5-wellfield annual report from 1999 to the present. For these evaluations, HSW utilized quantitative and qualitative hydrologic data and statistical analyses to characterize and evaluate hydrological conditions within the wellfields and surrounding areas in relation to natural and human-induced environmental perturbations. Complete summaries of all the required data are presented in graphical and tabular form. In addition, HSW has performed a statistical evaluation of the water-level data to evaluate the effects of pumpage, precipitation, and evapotranspiration on water levels in the Floridian and surficial aquifer monitor wells, and surface water bodies. Analyses of precipitation trends were also performed. HSW has recently completed annual reporting for WY 2006. Our contract for preparing the hydrologic section of the annual report for the five wellfields in Northwest Hillsborough County has been renewed through Water Year 2010.
